Lullaby

Aoki sings a lullaby to her brother!

Welcome, Miles Shinhiro!

Wow, keeping up with a blog and 2 kids is proving to be difficult already! To think my baby boy is 6 days old, and I haven't even bothered to write a welcome post!

So here's how it went: I was 40 weeks and 2 days pregnant, and very anxious to meet the little man, when my water broke at 4:30pm. I jumped in the shower, drove straight to the hospital, and was already 7cm dilated by the time I was admitted. From start to finish, Miles was here in 2 hours and 15 minutes and was born at 6:47pm, weighing in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces! It was a very intense experience, but we were so happy to finally get to meet him!

After spending two nights in the hospital, we were very eager to get home so that Aoki could spend some time with her new brother. While she's very sweet with Miles, and excited to be a big sister, it has definitely been an adjustment for all of us!

I'll post more pics as soon as I get them downloaded! In the meantime we'll just be over here, most likely NOT sleeping ;) Although Miles is a very sweet boy, he really likes to stay up all night!

Out of Office

Well, I'm officially on maternity leave, and you would think that this blog would be full of new information and tidbits.. Well it might be, if my computer wasn't in the shop, and I hadn't created a " to do" list of stuff for myself that was a mile long!

I'm sorry to disappoint, but hopefully once the computer is back, and this baby is born, there will be a whole lot more activity going on here!

38 weeks and counting!

Hiccups

I am experiencing hiccups in my crotch. Lovely.

33 1/2 weeks

Only 6 1/2 weeks till the little man's due date. We can't help wondering if he will be early, like his sister...and at this point I'm kind of hoping that he does!

I've had horrible insomnia for most of this pregnancy, so I'm pretty ready for that part to be over. I know that I won't get much sleep when he arrives, but I feel like it will actually be more than I'm getting now!

So keep on growing lil' dude, we're in the homestretch now!

And I Keep on Growing...

Here are my belly shots (the ONLY ones I've taken...bad Mommy!) at 22 weeks and 30 weeks. I can't believe I still have 10 more weeks to go! How am I going to fit any more baby in there?

3D/4D Ultrasound

On June 26, we had a 3D Ultrasound done for Baby Boy. We thought it was only fair, since his sister had one too! Here he is in all of his glory!

We can't wait to see what he looks like when he gets here!

We're Not Letting Her Name the Baby...

Every couple of days, I'll ask Aoki what she thinks we should name her brother. Her responses are hilarious, and always crack me up.
